Angela's Argument about "Bullying" in Bully Free Week NZ
I.A.L.T. write an argument about bullying. I can write an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion. I have included correct punctuation, persuasive words, connective words and correct spelling.
Should we Allow Others to Bully Us?
NO! I definitely do not think that we should let anyone bully us in any way, either with their mouth, body or objects. In New Zealand this week is anti-bullying week so we are highlighting the fact that bullies ARE to be STOPPED.
I think we should DEFINITELY not have people bully us anywhere. If people get bullied, the next day they might want to stay home and not go to school ever. Sometimes if the teacher isn't in class the bullies can bully one person or more. The person thats getting bullied they might feel embarrassed. Some people might feel stuck when they have been bullied.
Secondly, some people can get people calling them names. When people call someone a mean name that’s called name calling. And also when people get name called, the person that they were calling names at they can become violence. When people call people or kids nicknames they sometimes feel lonely. When people or kids bully with name callings they say mean names or they say your name wrong.
Likewise, when people or kids deliberately leave you out, what would you do or what would you feel like? In this situation, like if you were standing right beside two people and they were asking people if they want to play and NOT asking the person right next to you you would feel excluded.
Certainly I think we should NOT have others bully us. Again I think we should, NOT have others bully us. Have you ever been bullied, if you have what would you feel like? Would you feel lonely, embarrassed or a victim?

Angela's Triathlons
Our Triathlon!!!
On Friday it was our school Triathlon. The whole school did it. It took a long time to get started with our school triathlon. We walked down to the beach. My Aunty Karmilly, my moko and my sister were watching me do the triathlon. My aunty, my sister and my moko met me at the beach. Then it finally started. Woosh! But it started with the oldest class first. It went room eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, zero. The wind blew the sand high up like a humongous wave.
My clothes floated on my skin. Four people in our class Te Moana were in the junior event because they didn't want to swim or run in the beach, they wanted to swim in the pool. The juniors ran around the field at our school. They biked around the field at our school too.
The water was as warm as a spa. Blue beautiful blue sky.
I was like in my brain, pick up your hoe, off, kaha, manaakitanga, tu maia,
Whanaungatanga!
Then it was finally our turn the girls turn. The waves were as loud as a dinosaur. Mrs William said, “On your marks, get se,t go!” Then we rushed like we were going to get bowled over from a humongous wave. We quickly ran in the beach as fast as we can. I was coming fourth. Then I got to the last person and I ran out of the beach and ran as fast as I could. Bamm wish and my moko and my sister was yelling out, “Go aunty. My moko is fourth. And then we got to the crossing line. Then we got to the footpath again. That was the bit when I came first off the swimming and the running. I came first on running and swimming. Then I got to the school and I quickly put on my shoes and helmet then I got my bike then I walked my bike to the front off the gate, I started biking along the field. Then I went on the pump track and went around twice then I went off the pump track and went on the field for the second time. Then I finally got to the finish line and I came third altogether.
After we finished our triathlon we got free ice creams. I picked the one that had the bubble gum. Woosh, splash! There are all kinds of different colours. I got the pink one like my friend Nikara. There are red green orange and sometimes plain.
I felt very proud of myself. Cause I came first on running and first on swimming. And I came third on bike. I came third all together. My Aunty and my moko my sister we're proud of me even my mum and dad were proud of me even though they were in Auckland. woosh .
It was a lot of fun at kiwi kids tryathlon. I felt so proud of myself.
I biked like a champion. I swam like an olympic swimmer. I was as hot as the boiling sun. I was as fast as a cheater. I was as tired as a tired baby.
The triathlon was as cool as a flying roller coaster.

Angela's Special name
W
We are learning why our parents chose our names and why they are significant to us. I feel really proud to have the special name I have been given.

Swim Safe Lesson 3
Swim Safe Three
At Swim Safe we ran to the changing room and then we put a life jacket on. We fell into the pool and then we did a huddle and chain. We might fall off the boat. We floated like a balloon instead of sinking. We floated on our backs for more than a minute. We floated freely. Some of us sank like a rock when we fell into the water. Harlem was straight as a wall. Arohaina was like a scary elephant. We were as quiet as a spider. Katlin was as bendy as a gymnast. Josh was as bendy as a bendy toy. Kaavin was as flexible as a dolphin.
We were as excited as a dancing flopping dolphin. Some of us were sinking like a rock. Harlem was as straight as a statue. We were as happy as we could be.We love doing it Tracey. We were as loud as a roaring lion. Shay was as cool as a happy face. Zara was as funing as a clown. Jade was as silly as a silly clown in swim safe three.
All of the boys and girls went in the freezing changing room. We were as happy as joy. We did a mushroom and we looked like a mushroom. We were so happy when we saw Tracey. Calais was a hungry lion. Breeze was as happy as can be. Arohaina loved the whole thing. Swimming, in the saucy aussie soap maker.
We had to get dressed in funny clothes to pretend we had been shipwrecked or washed off the rocks. It was scary as the clothes made us sink and were not able to swim very easily. It was even harder to try and take them off in the water as they stuck to us like a gluey glove. So remember to wear swimming clothes and always wear a life jacket in case you get into trouble in the water.
