Kingston and Liam's Chromebook Day

The Year Four’s Chromebook Day. Kingston.
On February Mrs.Lindsay called, “Year Four’s from Room Four.” because we were getting our chromebook from the whare next.
We sat in the whare for an hour Mrs. Lindsay called, “Number 23!” Soon I walked to my new chromebook.
Next Mrs Lindsay talked about how to write our chromebook email. Next Mrs Lindsay told the Year Four’s after we all wrote pass 2016. Afterwards we gently walked back to the class with our new chromebooks. It was lovely to have my brand new chromebook at Paihia School. Next we put our new brand chromebook in the white chromebook box. I think Mrs. Lindsay should be the school principal.

On chromebook day 2016 Mrs.Lindsay picked our chromebook numbers and my one is 24.It was awesome. We put them on our tables and I was typing my email with my chromebook and our password.  We all had to pick an awesome photo on our screens. We are all year fours now because we all be senior soon and who get our chromebooks to type our work. We are lucky because we get to have a free chromebook this year.

Chromebook Day (Evie)

Chromebook Day   (Evie)
“ I'm so excited,” I yelled. “Today I’m getting a chromebook, Wohoo.” I skipped into the classroom with a huge smile on my face. After morning tea Room Five and Room Four wandered into the whare to get their chromebooks.
But only the year Five and Fours  got a chromebook not the poor Year Three’s. Suddenly Mrs Lindsay started calling out the kids names, and their chromebook numbers. Suddenly I heard Mrs Lindsay say my name, I froze with excitement. I slowly walked up to find my chromebook. Its’ number was twenty two.

She told us to open up our chromebooks and type in the password. I was as happy as a flower swaying In the wind. My chromebook was as silver as a stone. It was one of the best days ever! After Mrs Lindsey handed out our e-mail addresses and passwords. Later in the library while the Year Three’s were reading, Mrs Neumann was so kind as she let us send an e-mail to our sisters or friends. Wow I can’t wait to use it later in our cool classroom.

Chromebook Day (Lilli-Rose)

Chromebook Day (Lilli-Rose)
“Line up” shouted Mrs Lindsey, “You are going to get a chromebook!” When I heard that my  head went “Pop.” I was as white as a feather! We lined up and quickly and walked  into the whare! “I wonder if we were going to bring them home?” I said to Evie.  She said, “Probably not.” When we got into the whare, so suddenly Mrs Lindsey called out our names and a number that meant we had to sit by by the number she called out. When she was saying our names  she as shiny as a  cuckoo.

Flag Debate (Lilli-Rose)

Which Flag?
I think our flag looks too much like the Australian flag
and I’d prefer the new flag because it looks more modern.
Plus I think it should have something that is native to New Zealand like the silver fern.
The old flag has been in New Zealand for heaps of years.I think we should have a change.

17.3.16           Swimming    Sports                                                      I was excited waiting for swimming sports. The first  activity for   Room 4  was on the octopus. It  spewed  water and Jack squirted water in my eye.  Indiana squirted water in my eye as well.
Next Room Four did a weird  activity. We had to put on a wet t- shirt .After we did  the  water slide it was super slippery.   At last we did swimming  relay races. For  the relays we did freestyle, next backstroke then breaststroke.  I won most of the Year Four boy’s races, freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, dolphin swim and  butterfly.

Zayne Cares for Paihia Beach

’The Beach’
On Friday the school slowly walked to the beach. I walked to the beach with my class. When we arrived we put on one glove each.
We picked up all sorts of  rubbish. I saw disgusting filters on the ground. On the sparkly sand we found tangled fishing line with rusty sharp, sharp fishing hooks .
Then we made a  sandcastle. The sandcastle was sparkly.
Afterwards we quickly walked back to school. I was buddied with Mark.I hope we do this again.

                        Beach Clean Up
On Friday the children from Paihia  School walked  to  Kings Road beach. When we arrived at the beach we had to put on some gloves so we don’t get the germs on us.
After we had stopped cleaning up, we got to build a sandcastle.  My sandcastle  had some pine cones on it and a little bridge and big long stick. There was heaps  of different kinds of sand castles.

After we built the sand castles we had to go back to    school to have a feed as I was starving. (Carlitos)

Beach Clean Up -Lilli-Rose

Beach Cleanup
On Friday our special class and lots of parents quickly rushed to the boiling beach. When we arrived there we were given a latex glove. Immediately we started to pick up lots of
dirty disgusting rubbish.
We picked up smoke butts, sharp beer lids, revolting plastic, sharp shiny glass, stinky beer bottles and disgusting dangerous lighters. After cleaning up gross rubbish we participated in a sandcastle competition afterwards we walked in line with a buddy back to Paihia School.

The fortunate children who remembered to bring $2 bought an jucie. “I wonder when we are going to do this again?”

Evie's Swimming Sports Day

Swimming Sports 17.3.16 On Wednesday the juniors had swimming sports It was at school. We had it just for fun. The first thing our class did was the water guns and sprinkler we had so much fun I got squirted by lots of water guns. It looked like Indie had the biggest water gun. I think Lilli-Rose thought that too. I got covered in water! It was such a great time. Next we did races there were two buckets and a cup we had to get the fill it up with water and tip it in the other bucket. When we all had three go’s we had a different race but my favourite one was when we had to get to the other side without the cup falling off the ball.It looked hard at first but It wasn’t. The second to last thing was the water slide. I waited for my turn suddenly I was at the front of the line I could hear people laughing I ran onto the water slide It was very slippery but exciting. I could see the smiles on their faces it was the best school day ever. Finally It was the relays but suddenly I realised Lilli-Rose and I were the only year for girls racing against each other because stormy-lee didn’t bring her togs. Finally It was time for our race It was freestyle Lilli-Rose and I kept on trying It was so amazing. Then the bell rang, we quickly ran to get changed once I was dressed I ran out I saw Mum waiting for me I gave her a big hug and she took me home. I hope we can do that again.
