Kingston's Fun Day

Action World Trip.
Yesterday we walked to Action World.
Firstly we walked by the library to wait till we go.
Secondly we left school then we started leading off to Action World. Until that when we walked around the roundabouts, Jack gave my bag to me, we were both holding my bag each time. When we arrived there, we all started walking to the white tent and eating our morning tea. Later we saw Carol coming to the tent explaining all the riding rules. We were quiet as a sneaky mouse.
She said we had to do, Top, bottom, bomb. So she told everybody to go play, first I went on the Racing Rollers.
Soon I went onto the seesaw, It was so much fun. After that Carol called the boys to go play on the Slip ‘n’ Slide. Later after that I went down the Slip ‘n’ Slide 5 times but after I was shivering so much. After that I went to go get changed in the changing rooms. After that I went back on the racing rollers, so I could have a ride on it. Soon we packed all our gears in my bag. Then we saw  Ethan Jumping on the Trapeze.
Later after that we backed to school, It was a Fun day at Action World.

  •  Put 1 scoop of kernels in the machine
  • Put lid on.
  • Place catching bowl in front of the machine
  • Turn on machine
  •  Be patient while it heats before popping
  • After it pops catch the popcorn in a bowl
  •  Eat the popped corn
Conclusion:
  • Next time we need have chocolate popcorn as it was a bit dry.
Today we were learning to add a comment to our procedural text so that we may adjust the procedure if were to follow it again.
Indie commented-It was a bit dry so give it some flavour with caramel, butter or chocolate.
Jade, Franky, Mere and Jamie commented that the popcorn needed some butter to make it taste better.
Liam and Mere commented that we should have made rainbow popcorn.
Mikaila and Lilli-Rose commented that the popcorn needed some chocolate melted onto it.
Kingston commented that the popcorn tasted yummy and did not need any unhealthy stuff on it.

R.D.A.

R.D.A..
It’s hard to ride a horse at riding lessons.

At R.D.A. people teach you to ride one, that means that you're actually riding a horse. But it takes time to ride a horse like you can ride on a farm. Kind people at R.D.A. can teach you how to ride a horse in horse riding lessons. The more you train, the better you can ride a horse. We learn lots of tricks on the horses. We learn how to balance and move on the horse. My brother Liam and I go every Tuesday. by Kingston

Our play that we are presenting to an audience starts when Aunt Amiria woke up Will and Katarina. It was a Matariki morning then suddenly Will and Katarina heard Aunt Amiria shout, “wake up you two, it’s time to get up.” Yawn!!!! “Why do we have to get up, it’s 4 hours before dawn.” “No, it’s not, it’s only 23 minutes before dawn.” “Put on your warm jumpers and come outside onto the beach.” “Can we make a sandcastle?” “ No!” “But look into the distance can you see the stars, if you can that would be Matariki.” “Wait Aunt Amiria we need to go wake up Mum & Koro or they won't get to see Matariki.” “O.K! we can take a picture for them, they are very very tired.” “ But we did not bring a camera.” “ Yes, I have one in my pocket.” “O.K. we can take lots and lots of pictures.”

Matariki Kites

Maori flew kites traditionally as a symbolic connection to Matariki. Kites were seen as a connection between the heavens and earth. We made our kites out of all sorts of things. We used flax, bamboo, sticks and tied them at the corners. We had to make a tail so that the kites balanced when they flew.

Kingston's Speech-"Should Bullies be Allowed at School?"

Should bullies be Allowed at School?
No Bullies should not be allowed at school.

Bullying is very serious and it makes other people  nervous.
Firstly bullies are the worst, they can make you feel really bad and unhappy.  If there is a bully in your school it can make you feel scared and sad, and makes you unhappy.
When bullies hurt my feelings, I feel a  little bit scared to say anything. Some bullies can say put down words to me, right in front of my face,  and it wants me to turn into a bully and fix them but I don't want to bully someone. Some bullies are very mean and rude, I don’t like it because it scares me, and can makes me (FRIGHTENED),  and makes people unhappy and bully people make me sad and mad.
Secondly bullies can get mean and hit and kick me in school grounds -that is very very mean  and they interrupt you and your friends when you are working. The teachers can get bullies who are causing  trouble at morning tea time and lunch time and tell them to stop and say sorry.. Bullies can act too dumb and they are not very cool.  who don’t care for each other.  You should care for your teachers and friends. If bullies don’t want to join with kindly and they mean they need to apologize to you.

But bullies can get really weird and get very mean. And if you see any bullies in schools tell on somebody at school.

People need to be nice to each other.

If Bullies hit a adult girl they will go to jail for doing that.    And people should not  upset other people. and they explain it at Assembly at our school. Some bullies can be VERY mean at school at times. So we should send them home and not have them at our school.

Waka and Waka House

The Waitangi Treaty Grounds.
8.05.16. Kingston.
On Thursday Room 0,3,4, walked to the Waitangi Treaty grounds. Firstly we got a sticker for free. Secondly we played a game to warm us up. The waka we saw was very long, and 140 people can fit in that long waka so they can paddle in  Aotearoa. But the carvings on the side of the waka were telling us a story about the longest waka. The carvings on the side of the waka are of ngapuhi people. The waka is joined with lots of flax.
But the Waka House is got some cool carvings.
The treaty grounds was the
BEST trip we have had in New Zealand.

Zayne Cares for Paihia Beach

’The Beach’
On Friday the school slowly walked to the beach. I walked to the beach with my class. When we arrived we put on one glove each.
We picked up all sorts of  rubbish. I saw disgusting filters on the ground. On the sparkly sand we found tangled fishing line with rusty sharp, sharp fishing hooks .
Then we made a  sandcastle. The sandcastle was sparkly.
Afterwards we quickly walked back to school. I was buddied with Mark.I hope we do this again.

Today Mrs Ritchie showed us a special way to plan our writing using Google Drawing.
