Zayne's Trip to Action World

Action World Adventure 21. 11. 16
On Wednesday I was so excited .  I got  changed, got my lunch and drove to school. Next   we all buddied up . My buddy was Mikaila.  Next we started walking to  Action World. It was tiring but we got there.
So we waited to be greeted in,  we did. We all have a little bit of lunch. Finally Carol  came, she told us that we could  play  in 10 minutes.  So I ran  to  the  big  slide. I was the first  on it. It was scary  but  I got through.

Then  I went on the huge rings I was terrified but it was hard to get over the big blue monster.  I was as hungry as a lion

Then I went on Fighting zone I knocked down five people in row.
But sadly we left. We saw the seniors on the way out.

Golf Lesson 3

Last week we had our third Golf lesson with Paul. We played on the grass instead of the court. We had to hit a a target much further away. We had to have our legs apart with our toes pointing to the ball on the tee. Our thumbs were pointing down. The tee had to point to the target. We had to make an "L" when we swung to hit the ball. The ball was hit with a bulls eye on the club so it went was hit at the correct angle. We can't wait until the next lesson next Wednesday.

The Three Billy Goats Gruff

“Three Little Billy Goats’’
Characters in the Play:
Billy Goat One: Harlem
Billy Goat Two: Zayne
Billy Goat Three: Dale
Troll: Stormy-Lee

Our play that we are presenting to an audience starts when Billy Goat One wants to go over the bridge to eat some grass. Billy Goat  Two comes  along then the Troll popped up from under the bridge and said, “I’m a troll, I’m a troll and I live down a hole,” “ Who are you, Are you going to eat some grass,” “Yes!” “I’m going to eat you up,” said the troll. Billy Goat Two went over the bridge and the troll popped out of the bridge and the troll said, “I’m a troll and the second Goat said, “Go away!” “I want to eat some grass.” “The troll said, “I’m going to eat you up,” and the troll said, “I’m a troll, I’m a troll, and I want to eat you all up.” Billy Goat Three went over the bridge and the troll popped out of the bridge.

Putiputi -By Jack, Josh and Zayne

Putiputi
On Friday it was Matariki Day at school. It was an awesome day as we made so many things to celebrate the day. We made some putiputi out of flax. They are beautiful flowers. We put them in a vase in the classroom and some are on the display at the school office.

Mere and Isabella-Paige used two different types of flax to make their putiputi.

Zayne's Speech--Is the Country Better Than the City?"

Is the Country Better than the City?
Boys and girls, the country is better than the city, because the  country has fresh air and we can play outside, but in the city we spend time inside.

Firstly- I think the country is better than the city because the city has traffic pollution with the smell of smoke, petrol and diesel. I do not like the city.

Secondly- The country has nature and amazing  living things that can explore. It is stressful living in the city because there are so many buildings and people.
Lastly- In the country we can do farming. The country is super, super exciting. It has super huge trees to  play in.

Thank you Letters to Matua

Paihia School
School Road
Paihia

Dear Matua
Thankyou… for sharing kindness and showing us the waka and the whare runanga and showing as inside the whare runanga. I learnt that waka was the biggest war waka in the world. You taught us a lot about the carvings, kowhaiwhai and tukutuku panels in the whare  runanga. They told us the story of the ancestors.
Thank you

Zayne Cares for Paihia Beach

’The Beach’
On Friday the school slowly walked to the beach. I walked to the beach with my class. When we arrived we put on one glove each.
We picked up all sorts of  rubbish. I saw disgusting filters on the ground. On the sparkly sand we found tangled fishing line with rusty sharp, sharp fishing hooks .
Then we made a  sandcastle. The sandcastle was sparkly.
Afterwards we quickly walked back to school. I was buddied with Mark.I hope we do this again.

Zayne

Today Mrs Ritchie showed us a special way to plan our writing using Google Drawing.
