Collaboration with Te Awa
Room Te Awa (Year 1) and Te Moana (Year 4) work collaboratively throughout the day. Many of the older students support the teina to prepare for school, support them at play and lunch eating and play times. We also collaboratively read together as buddies, support each other during art, inquiry, wet lunch times, Physical Education as well as supporting the younger students to catch the bus each night.

Ataahhua's Triathlon
School Triathlon.
On Friday we had a School Triathlon. Some kids were in the Junior Triathlon. We swam first, and I was the first one out. We were a little bit tired after the swim we were all running. We had to run one time around the field we ran like a cheetahs. We ran to the Bikes. We were going to go around one time as well we were riding on the bikes I was the first one off the Bikes.
We were so hungry we had a quick Chocolate bar. We had lots of fun.It was the best day ever. I was never tired in it. I was the first one in all of them. We were going to have lunch.
When we were finished our lunch we had a ice cream on a stick and a normal ice block. They were a treat after our Triathlon it was so yummy. After our ice blocks we had a play we had so much fun. I had too much fun at the Triathlon. We were so happy to have a ice block. I was lucky I won, it we were so tired.
I was as happy as a baby girl.It was as amazing as riding on a ferris wheel I wanted to stay at the Triathlon I really liked it I did not want to stop the Triathlon because it was so much fun for me.

Ataahua's Beach Clean Up
Beach Clean Up.
We went to the beach from school, to the beach we had a Buddy each beside us. We had a younger buddy to care for, when we got to the beach we sat beside our buddy.
When we got to work we had to wear gloves. We had two boys that held the rubbish bags and the other kids were picking up rubbish off the sand. The teachers were holding the bags we put the shells in.
When we finished our work we sat down on the grass and one of the kids said, “Can we build a sand castle?” the teacher said, “Yes!” and we did. It was so,so,so much fun but the boys wanted a race but the girls did not want to have a race at all. The boys were really into a race and then the girls went ahead and did a race but some of the girls didn't do it.

Ataahua's Limerick
Clown
There once was a clown who went bang,
Who loved to make symbols clang clang,
He thought he could sing,
But made our ears ring
He juggled and joked but never sang,
