My Pet Brownie

Brownie
By Lucas
Brownie is a 10 month old male labrador. Brownie likes to eat left overs from my plate, he loves chicken and every now and then we will give him a treat of beef and bacon bites.
Brownie loves to run around and play with the soccer ball but sometimes he gets to excited and bites a hole in the ball.
Brownie can shake hands, sit down, roll over and attack on command.
My mum and I have trained Brownie to do all these things.
I got Brownie as my birthday present, he is the best birthday present ever.
Brownie is a really good hunter he catches the rats in the house, and he is a pro guard dog.
I bought Brownie to school for pet day, Dad had to hold Brownie on a lead because there were other dogs. We walked around while the judge was watching.
Brownie won a ribbon.

Pet Show

Zayne’s Pet  Ducks.`
I’m going to tell you about my ducks their names are Steve and Billy.
I named them because they didn't have a name. I think their names suit them.

The ducks have fun in the bush with their mum. When they are in the bush they sleep. When they are  with me they have fun with their toys.
They always fall down the cliff and they seem to like scrambling back up again it. I don’t know why they like skidding down the bank into the water.
They eat oats and bread when they visit me.. They eat every day and they come inside with clean feet. They eat and eat for ever. It’s awesome!!

The ducks tricks are running, jumping. It so cool to see them having so much fun.

Assembly Term 3 26th August

Together we planned and shared so much that we had been learning with our parents and other Paihia School pupils.

Golf Lesson 4

Yesterday was our fourth and final golf lesson. We have all learnt so much and are keen to learn so many more skills in golf.
Mikaila: "Swing your arms tick, tock like a clock"
Arohaina: "Point your feet towards the tee."
Gail: "The launcher hits the ball up high."
Harlem and Zayne:"There are two types of clubs-launcher and roller."
Isabella-Paige: "I learnt how to hit towards a target."
Liam: "Look at the target before you hit the ball."
Jack: "You start with the launcher then swap over to the roller              club, the launcher is curved so that it can hit up high."
Nevaeh: " Your arms must swing from a "Y" to an "L" position."
Dale: "I learnt how to hold a roller with two hands together."
Indie: "I learnt how to count 1, 2, before hitting the ball and your                  thumbs must be pointing downwards."
Calais: "For short putts your feet must be together."
Lucas: "You need to do a hard hit if you are aiming at a target a                  long  way away and a softer hit if the target is closer,"
Mere and Jamie:" I learnt that our arms must be together with the                   right arm over the left arm."
Jade: " When you are ready to hit the ball with the club you leave                  your club down."
Mark: "Listen to Paul the coach so that you know what to do."
Vinnie: "I really want Paihia School to get their own golf sets but it             would be great to play at Waitangi or another big golf                      course."
