Treaty Trip-by Lilli-Rose

             Treaty Trip
“ I can't believe we're where  the Treaty of Waitangi was signed. “It’s so awesome, right Evie.” “ Yeah, it’s really awesome” as she said to me. “ So many people are here.” As we arrived one of the guys there was called Matua, he first said a karakia and then gave us a sticker that said “Treaty of Waitangi” with green on it!
Then he told us we were going to have morning tea first. So we set off and got lunch.

After our awesome amazing  lunch we packed up and put our lunch boxes in the red van! Then we ran down to the waka. Then Matua told us we were playing a game. When we heard Matua say we were playing a game we were so pumped we played a fun game.Matua showed and had us using the hoe. We pretended to row in rhythm as we chanted. Matua told us so many things about the waka before we went to the whare. The whare was awesome but we had to go so we started walking home it was an awsome day and I loved it.  (Please read our slideshow for information we learnt)
